Being on Suburb Beautiful means exposure within your community amongst a growing list of followers that want to support their neighbour if they can.
All of our directory members are either have Charleswood roots or live in the neighbourhood now, and have good reputations within the community.
WHO CAN BE LISTED ON SUBURB BEAUTIFUL?
All directory members will need to provide proof of either current residency through utility bills or school transcripts if they no longer live in the area. This helps to keep the directory for its intended purpose, which is to support and promote Charleswood community members.
WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU AS A DIRECTORY MEMBER:
After choosing a payment plan option, you will land on the welcome page walking you through what information is needed to build your listing. Once your listing has been approved, you will receive an invoice for payment and your listing will appear on the site.
You are in control of what your write up says, but it should include what services you offer and something about your connection to Charleswood (e.g. where you went to school, what street you grew up on, how many years etc).
You can also ask and answer your own questions in the FAQs to streamline the interactions with people inquiring about using your services.

EXCLUSIVITY OF YOUR CATEGORY WITHIN THE DIRECTORY:
No more than three directory spots will be available under any one category, so your category will never be flooded with a multitude of options within the same service provided. Keeping the number of options low will result in more clicks on one of the listings in the category.
Because each service category is limited, it is important that the website only list high quality service providers. Limiting the number means that categories will likely fill up quickly. If would like to create a new Service Category (e.g. “Commercial Cleaning Services” instead of “Cleaning Services”) please reach out to info@suburbbeautiful.ca. We are happy to accommodate that request.
There will be an opportunity for website visitors to rate your work out of 5 stars. There will not be visible comments associated to any directory member to minimize the nuisances that can come from written reviews. Your rating falling below 2.5 stars could result in being replaced with someone from the wait list in the category that your service falls under.
The hope is that you would treat every person that finds you on our website as you would your neighbor- they probably are!
ADVERTISING PLEDGE:
As a directory invested in the ongoing success of the small business operators within our unique community, 30% of net proceeds will be invested into advertising for Suburb Beautiful in the neighbourhood. This pledge ensures that your business will receive more local exposure by being on the website. The advertising structure is set up to serve you well if you recommend others to join the site, as every member added puts more advertising dollars into the pot. This puts their business as well as yours in front of more potential clients. All directory members benefit from more exposure from a broader base.
Immediate plans to advertise are arena ad boards, community forums and moving billboards. Future advertising plans include Google Ad Words, bus benches and recycling panels, billboards all based on the growth of the advertising pot.
